Miles at String Play….

Miles always love strings, yarn, rubber bands, nylon hanging from torn underwear or whatever he can get his paws on. The attraction of a moving thing in space has always captivated his attention. Miles has investigated String theory and it’s complicated but not impossible to do. In String theory she looks for closed loops and does her best to untie them. She tried to play the guitar one time, and when she stretched the string with so much tension, they did not float out in space, they came back and hit her in the face. That’s why she works with yarn, ribbons and really pretty objects that will attract other Mammals in mating relationships. Because of the use of the Bird Beak Smart Phone, more birds text one another by pecking at the keys… they do not believe in creating their own nest anymore…….but they do set up a meeting with Miles for the decor…. He gives them many choices of yarn, confetti and anything else that might make their nest stand out from the average nest.

He has always wanted to master the game of Cat’s Cradle because when one is a master of that, they can pretty much choose what CatSino they want be at in Vegas. Prizes there are in the millions of dollars plus one can become a celebcat and advertise with any Cat Food Company in the World. Miles has his eyes on Ceaser’s Palace premium Cat Food….

Miles practices this day and night..... what he had in his paw was once to be a knit sweater... but it went into training because he loves to unravel things...Once it is all unraveled it becomes "Purr- Art. ( It's looks like Angora, OMG, just think that was probably someone's nice sweater)

It begins a with String for most cats.... and you have to start somewhere.... more than likely someone's knitting or crochet project.... Miles is totally getting it and taking it to another level..... hopefully he will be in Vegas for the CatSino competition where the stakes are high and meows are a lot more high pitched.

Miles really loves ” String Play”….. some folks play the violin… he just is really good at unraveling strings. If he wins in Vegas he would purchase a loom so he could hire someone to make walls hangings for him and then just unravel them and put them in a National Museum where works of art are considered to be a national legacy. This entire legacy to cats will represent all the cats that tried to unravel things with politicians to balance the national  budget.  Cats are an enduring symbol of life and they have always represented the center of the economic and spiritual lives of Cats. Miles recognizes that cats are the most culturally recognized animals in the world and deserves recognition.

Dot was beside herself when she found Mile unraveling her bright fushia sweater. She loved that sweater that her Aunt Fava Bean Knit for her.

Miles unravels Dot's sweater to create a work of Art....

Sometimes teeth are necessary in creating a work of art... the finishing touch.. when one has to ties up all the loose ends...

Dot’s Favorite Pets

Dot was really not sure if she wanted to put her friends in front of the camera's because they might steal the limelight away from herself....

With all Dot has to do, she still has the energy to watch over all her other animals. She takes tremendous pride in her animals. And she has instilled confidence in many that came to her that lacked it. Take for example, Deidra, the tiny but very flexible cross between a Leopard and a Red eyed Mouse……. Deidra was very shy but impressed Dot because she is so flexible she can bend her long legs in any direction and swat a fly in less than a second….. She is also considered an exotic pet and Dot had to obtain a license to have her.

Little Pink Bow (Wow) as she likes to be called is Deidra’s good friend. Deidra is her hairdresser and makes sure that the bow in her hair is always in perfect condition and that her long fur is combed to a shine.

Little Pink Bow Wow is Deidra's best friend. Deidra is Pink's hairdresser and always makes sure her bow is in perfectly and her long coat is shiny and glowing.....

Dot has two pets that live with her that have celebrity status like herself. She was kind of worried about those gals stealing her glow, but then when she looked in the mirror she knew it was far from possible. Dot was the fairest of them all…..

Angelina the Ballerina is one of Dot largest friends and dancing partner. Dot simply slips her tiny paws into the elastic straps on Angelina's Ballet slippers and they dance the night away

Deery is one of Dot's dearest friends. Dot found her one day wandering in the back yard . Deery said she was an orphan and Dot immediately adopted her.

Angelina is so tall when she stood upright for this photo no one else was able to get into the picture unless they used a ladder.

One of the most widely known celebrity animals that lives with her is “Babe”…. Yes, the talking Pig from the movie “Babe”. Babe is constantly needing hugs and she does lack them because everyone loves to hug her and all the mice of House Maid Mouse absolutely adore her. She has a whole bunch of mice friends.

Babe loves living with Dot because she gets a lot of hugs from her mice friends...

Another one is Angelina the Ballerina Mouse who is so big she dwarfs them all. But she loves to dance and Dot sometimes attaches herself to Angelina’s foot through the big strap she has on the bottom of her ballet slipper so they can dance together! What an amazing couple they make as they dance around the room.

Deidra, the spotted leopard and half red-eyed mouse, is the only one of Dot's pets that she had to get a license to keep because she is considered an exotic pet....

What does Miles think about all this menagerie of pets?

Miles calls it a real circus…. and he tries to avoid all the hoopa. One of his favorite diversions is to take a dip in the hot tub with his own friends.

There, in the quiet and warm water the cats commensurate with Miles. They laugh and tell him to forget about the “Zoo” at his home. After all, Miles has his perks as well.

Miles often visits with his friends to avoid the "Circus" like atmosphere at his home....

Dot at Vet Hospital…

Dot knew something was wrong with her. Her tummy was growling like Miles wildest “meow” and she was having diarrhea.  She knew it would pass and it was just another one of those days when she woke up feeling out of sorts.

Dot woke up this morning and felt really out of sorts, however, her tummy was upset and she knew she would get over it... she wanted to sleep in...

At first, hearing the owner talking about her, she thought she was going on a vacation again because he  mentioned an airport, Giardia and she was thrilled.

But the she recalled  they discussed that a while back and she ended up somehow at the Vet Hospital at the Crossroads! Was she suppose to take a Limo to the Airport… so  once again, she was confused. She did not have time to change out of her pajamas in the morning and quite frankly, she did not feel like changing. All she wanted to do was just sleep in, it was a lazy Sunday day for her.

Dot sees the sign of the Vet Hospital and still wonders if they are planning on bringing a limo to take her to Giardia so she can go on a vacation?

Dot was nervous when she realized she was at the Animal Hospital… Was she needed as a “Candy Striper” for volunteer work ? She had the outfit from awhile back because she had to do some community service. She was practicing anything and everything without a dog license… Big deal.

She knew a lot of dogs that were unlicensed and some went to Hollywood and others were service dogs….. a few were models for dog web sites and catalogs. A lot of the dogs just got famous because their owner had made a video of them surfing, skiing, and just doing great things very unusual on on you-tube….

Dot actually met a new friend at the vet Hospital. His name was “Squidgit” and he was really cute. He said he was there because he got into a fight with his brother, but he got the best of him. He was kind of bragging but his owners looked concerned. His brother was being treated at the moment and they wanted Squidgit  to Be aware of the fact that his brother had needed medical attention on account of the fight.  The ” S-jet” as he asked Dot to call him did express remorse but he said there all always two sides to a story. His brother was acting a little obnoxious and the Jet had to do something immediately or his brother for sure would have ended up in the county jail…. that’s a long story too.

Squidjit knows why he is at the Animal Hospital and does show remorse, however, he hopes Dot will see him again

Squidgit asked Dot if he could see her once again without her pajamas on…. she blushed slightly and then said ” “Maybe, but you can call me after I get back from my vacation. I am here to get my vaccinations for  a world tour.”

As you can see, Dot Bean is worried that she won't be taking a limo to an airport for a vacation. She then thought again, "Hey, maybe I am here to get vaccinations for a vacation. Maybe , I need vaccinations because I might just be going to India or some other exotic place!

The Mailman

One of the big highlights of Dot’s day, or any dog as far as that matters, is waiting for the mailman. In most parts of the world, dogs wait for their mailman whether it’s to get a bark or more in, sometimes a bite, but in all cases they get a feeling of euphoria by seeing the mailman.

It doesn’t really matter what form of transportation the mailman has, dogs immediately can identify it. In the higher regions of Tibet the mailman comes by Yak and carries the mail in the bladder of a camel. In certain parts of Mexico the mail comes by a carrier pigeon which then returns to wherever the sender is located. In Alaska there is the “Polar Bear Express” and it comes no matter how harsh conditions may be, the bears always manage to get the mail to the Eskimos and Santa ( that is really a busy time for them). In the United States, of course,  the mail comes by a US Mail truck, very distinctive in the red, white and blue colors.

The mailman is also a dead giveaway in his navy shorts, light blue shirt and the envelopes that are always in his hand. On a great day, a dog might get a United Parcel truck to drop something off on the same day that the mailman comes. And then it can get very up close and personal for a dog. Talk about killing two birds with one stone……..

A Yak commiserating with another Yak who delivers mail in Tibet... sometimes a very heavy load and the altitude and rugged terrain makes it even more difficult...

There it is, the mail truck, with the mailman inside on his way to Dot's house......

Dot waiting for the mailman to arrive.... she can smell him in the air. On a lucky day she might get an UPS truck as well...

Dot always waits in anticipation for the mailman to come. Sometimes she begins watching and waiting up to an hour in advance. The  owner usually has her on a leash that will not extend out to the mailbox, where if Dot could reach it, she would certainly have contact with the mailman. She has begged the owner many times for this opportunity saying she’ll be really nice and the mailman could put the mail between her front teeth and she could carry it to the door for the owner. The owner always chuckles at this and says, “Dot, it would take a very trusting mailman to put a letter between a dog’s teeth and expect the dog just to go and deliver to his owner or boss. Yep, there are just too many scary stories out there about a mailman that finds himself with a huge hole in his pants and not able to finish his route.

What Dot really wants is a personal relationship with the mailman, just to understand what motivates him to go on bringing mail to homes where he is always harassed by a dog.

There he is easily identifiable with his light blue shirt and navy shorts. Dot would like to develop a closer relationship with him someday.....

Dot’s Dream Come True… a Personal Relationship Between the Mailman And Her

Dot had been waiting for the opportunity everyday to be outside when the Mailman made his delivery. She begged the owner to come outside with her so the mailman would not be afraid. She also wanted the freedom to be “off-leash” as it was commonly referred to among canines. The owner humored her and said, “Well, O.K., Dot, I will be out front with you for a minute or two to see if we can get the mailman to at least acknowledge you, but I do not want you begging and panting.”

Dot finally meets her mailman, one of her lifetime goals.... they agreed to sit down and have a cup of java together someday..

After many days of waiting, Dot finally lucked out. He drove up and seeing the owner, brought the mail to him. Dot read his name tag and immediately greeted him, “Hi Ricky, you know, I know there has always been a huge  abyss between mail carriers and dogs. I’d like to see that change. ”  The mailman was really surprised. This dog was nice and cute too, although the little ones could be much worse than their bark. He remembered that time back in the late nineties when a teacup poodle ripped the heck out of his pant leg and took his shoe off hiding it in her dog house. He shuddered but thought to himself, well, her owner is here, so I will give her the benefit of the doubt.

Dot was so pleased that she finally got to meet the mailman. She hoped this would diminish the perception between all dogs and their mail carriers...

Dot was so happy because she wore her special Christmas dress that day. She wanted a picture of the two of them and incredibly he agreed. The picture turned out great despite the fact that the butler was standing in the background. She would send Ricky a Christmas card with the both of them on it and perhaps could photo shop the butler out of it.
